What is The Reason for Diesel Smoke?

Common causes:
1、If the engine temperature is too low, part of the diesel oil will become oil vapor when it is not burned. It will be discharged from the exhaust pipe with the exhaust gas and emit white smoke.
2、In the oil supply system, there is water in the fuel or in the combustion chamber, and the heat released by the combustion in the cylinder is heated to form steam, which is discharged from the exhaust pipe to form white smoke.
3、The injection time is too late. Due to the late injection time, the temperature of the cylinder has decreased when the fuel is injected. Some of the diesel fuel has not burned into oil vapor and emits white smoke.
4、Inadequate atomization of the injector is caused by poor atomization, resulting in incomplete combustion of the diesel fuel, and the high-temperature exhaust gas discharged from the normal working cylinder meets in the exhaust pipe, thereby emitting white smoke.
5、The cylinder pressure is too low, and some of the diesel fuel becomes oil vapor without burning, so white smoke is emitted from the exhaust pipe.
Solution:
1、When the cold car is started, the rear exhaust pipe of the engine emits a lot of white smoke, but after running for a while, the fault disappears as the engine temperature rises.
2、The diesel engine is weak, and the white smoke can bring the hand close to the exhaust pipe. When the white smoke passes over the surface of the hand, there is water droplets indicating that there is water in the cylinder. At this time, the single cylinder oil cut method can be used to find the leaking cylinder.
3、When the diesel engine emits white smoke, the working temperature of the engine can be increased. For example, when the water temperature is about 70 °C, the exhaust smoke color changes from white smoke to black smoke, and it can be judged that the injector is atomized badly, and the oil is used by the cylinder. The method of breaking the oil detects the faulty injector and then verifies the injector.
4、When the diesel engine starts to emit white smoke and the temperature rises, it turns black smoke. This indicates that the cylinder pressure is insufficient and the cylinder pressure needs to be adjusted.
