Now more and more car owners are not satisfied with the power of the original car, hoping to improve the power of their car through some technology. Moreover, with the rapid development of science and technology, more and more new technologies and new products have been applied in automobiles, which has made the various performances of automobiles constantly improved, and the ways to improve the dynamics of automobiles have become wider and wider. This paper summarizes the current methods of improving the dynamics from the structural design of the automobile assembly, the reasonable matching between the various assemblies, the use links and the management links, and proposes some new improvement measures.
- Automobile fuel supply system modification
The development of a gasoline engine fuel supply system from a conventional carburetor fuel supply system to an electronically controlled fuel injection system has also experienced the development of mechanical fuel injection systems and electromechanical hybrid fuel injection systems. The electronically controlled fuel injection system has undergone a development process from single-point injection to multi-point injection, from out-of-cylinder injection to direct injection in the cylinder. In the process of continuous improvement of the fuel system, the engine’s power is constantly improving, fuel consumption is declining, and exhaust emissions are moving toward more stringent indicators. Although the electronically controlled fuel injection system technology has developed relatively mature, if it is properly modified, it can still further increase the engine power.
(1) Increase the air flow and reduce the air intake resistance. Replacing a high-flow air filter reduces the resistance of the engine’s intake air while increasing the intake air volume and volumetric efficiency per unit time while the engine is running. If you want to achieve better results, you can also convert the entire air filter into a filter-exposed filter, commonly known as “the mushroom head” (Figure 1), to further reduce the air intake resistance and increase the engine intake.

The improvement of the intake port can be carried out in two aspects of shape and material. To change the shape of the inlet, one is to achieve the intake pressure, for the sudden full opening of the throttle when the acceleration is urgent; the second is to increase the flow rate of the intake. To change the material of the inlet, the material requirements are in principle not heat absorption and light weight. At present, the most commonly used car modification is carbon fiber material, which has the advantage of not attracting heat, and the disadvantage is that it is expensive. Usually, the car will improve the shape and material of the intake port at the same time, and the air filter will be transferred or even removed, and the air inlet will be extended to the outside of the vehicle to increase the intake pressure with the increase of the speed, thereby increasing the intake air amount. Seek to get the most improvement in vehicle power.
(3) Use secondary air intake to improve volumetric efficiency. The secondary air intake is in addition to the air sucked from the air filter, and the vacuum pressure difference of the intake manifold is additionally utilized. Another air intake device is externally connected from the engine PCV (crankcase forced air) pipe, and an appropriate amount of fresh air is introduced. Air comes to the goal of increasing volumetric efficiency. The most important power boosting effect of the secondary air intake is the low speed phase with a small throttle opening, because in the high speed phase of the full throttle opening, when the air enters a lot to reduce the vacuum, the secondary air intake The amount of air that the device can introduce is relatively insignificant.
(4) Improve the throttle to improve the intake efficiency. There are two ways to improve the throttle: 1 to improve the electronic throttle by replacing the servo motor with faster movement; 2 to change the single throttle to the multi-throttle, which is for the sports car and the racing car, the improvement method is Each of the intake pipes is equipped with a throttle valve, and this structure is also called a multi-throat direct injection type. The multi-throat type and the single-throat type agitation efficiency are greatly improved, but the improvement cost is also large.
(5) Add an exhaust turbocharger (Figure 2). For naturally aspirated engines with exhaust turbocharger, the engine torque and power can be significantly increased by 20% to 30%, up to 50%. The installation of the exhaust gas turbocharger requires the installation of an intercooler at the same time. This is because the temperature of the air is increased during the compression process, which affects the charging efficiency of the engine, and the intercooler can function as a cooling air. In addition, engines equipped with exhaust turbochargers typically require the piston to be replaced with a forged piston to accommodate an increase in cylinder pressure.

(6) Increase engine displacement. The cylinder is enlarged by the cylinder and then replaced with a matching set of pistons. Increasing engine displacement can effectively increase its power, but at the same time fuel consumption and exhaust emissions will increase.
(7) Increase the pressure in the multi-point fuel injection system and increase the fuel injection amount. The pressure regulator is a pressure regulator in a multi-point fuel injection system. It is responsible for maintaining the fuel system to provide a fixed pressure to the injector. The higher the fixed pressure, the more fuel the injector will eject at the same time. many. By adjusting the pressure regulating valve to increase the fuel injection pressure of the injector, the fuel injection amount under the same injection pulse width is increased by 5% to 10%. It should be noted that after this method is used to increase the fuel injection amount, the concentration of the mixture will inevitably increase. It is usually necessary to modify the control strategy of the engine control unit. Otherwise, the control unit may be out of control and the fault code may be reported. In addition, it is necessary to increase the injection pressure to be moderate, and if the pressure exceeds the specified value, the engine may be unstable or even deflagration.
(8) Replace the injector to increase the fuel injection. After the engine has been greatly improved, if the injection time required at high speed is longer than the intake stroke of the engine, the fuel injection of the injector will not provide sufficient oil. Replace the injector with a larger injection volume.
